Eel skins are a by-product of the food industry in Korea, where MAKKI products are manufactured with love and care. Conditions of work are excellent and a good fair trade relationship is in place.
Known for their originality and use of the finest class of skins, most of the MAKKI designs are created in house by UK or Italian designers. Available in a wide palette of colours, these products will bring a little sparkle to your wardrobe.
Regularly seen in Vogue magazine and on catwalks across Europe, MAKKI was the winner of the Fashion Product of 2009 awarded for the combination of sumptuous skins, striking colours and on-trend designs.
Autumn/Winter 2011 sees the introduction of Italian Pony Hair and Carp Skin, adding an even more luxurious element to this season's collection.
Pony Hair is actually treated and trimmed cow hair - a by-product of the food industry. It is very easy to maintain its beautiful look.
Carp Skin is again a by-product of the food industry and gives a wonderful texture to Makki's designs.
